Can You Get Six Pack Abs Even If Your Genes
Suck?
Some people seem to be born with flat and sexy abs while others struggle for months and years, workout hard, but
just can't seem to get rid of their excess belly fat and get the kind of stomach they're longing for.
Are some people simply in capable of getting six pack abs? Is it all a matter of genetics at play?
It's true that your genetic makeup plays a pivotal role in determining how easy it is for you to shed weight,
gain muscle tissue, and which body parts are particularly prone to become fatter than others.
There's no escaping your genes, but this doesn't mean you can't achieve great results whether or not they're in
your favor (at least as far as having a flat belly is concerned).
The truth is that we all have six pack abs. Yes, it's true. Every person has six pack abs. It's just the way the
abdominal muscles are built. The only thing which differs from one person to the next is how much belly fat is
covering those six pack abs. Nothing else.
If you've ever seen pictures of really think people, you saw that each of them has the six pack shape on his or
her stomach. It may be an unattractive and weak looking six pack, but the basic shape is there. It shows because
these persons lost too much weight. Of course, in a healthy and fit person those stomach muscles will look powerful
and not weak and skinny.
The point I'm making is that you've already got the six pack shape. Now you just need to stop covering it up
with fat.
Overcoming Your Genes
Since you can't do anything about your genes but cry about them (Which I don't recommend doing), it's time you
learned how to work with them and not get down because of them.
If your genes determine that you're not the most naturally thin person in the world or that your stomach is a
trouble spot when it comes to your abs, there is really nothing you can do about it but be determined to do what it
takes to defeat your genes.
True, you may never look like a fitness model but you can get flat
abs if you do what needs to be done to get rid of your excess belly fat.
The only thing which your genes can do is make it harder or easier for you to get where you're going that's
all.
First of all, you need to make a firm decision that you will do what it takes to get the kind of stomach
you want. Read this article on how to develop the flat abs mindset if you
need to learn how to do this.
Second, you must educate yourself as to the best way to workout in order to burn the most fat, and the right way
to eat in order to feed your muscles and avoid gaining weight. To do that, I recommend getting and using the
Truth About Abs program by Mike Geary as it's the no.1 abs program
today and one I use myself.
Third, you must focus on fat burning workouts and not on abs exercises. Remember, the muscle is already there.
The key is to get rid of the fat that's covering it. Stomach exercises only come later when your excess fat has
been removed.
Fourth, simply do things the right way. Do intensive cardio workouts to
burn belly fat and the right kind of strength exercises to develop lean muscle tissue to boost your
metabolism and burn more calories even when you're resting.
Have no doubt, you can get the kind of stomach you long for. It is mostly in your hands. Be determined, patient,
and do what needs to be done to get the results you seek.
